How to Run Effective Virtual Meetings

Virtual meetings face many of the same issues as in-person meetings — but with added distractions and technical hurdles. It is still possible to run an effective virtual meeting if you follow the basic meeting protocols.

An agenda is essential to ensuring that virtual meetings run on time and keep the participants engaged throughout the session. You can also motivate participants by asking open-ended questions, asking for feedback and assigning roles to take notes or record the next steps.
